Andrew Dobson and Matthew Rowlinson visited Bauma 2025, the leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment. Held in Munich, Germany every three years, it attracts over 600,000 visitors from over 200 countries.
Introducing the new 14 ton U145

One of the new announcements made at the trade fair was that Kubota has reached agreement with Sumitomo Construction Machinery to add a 14-ton hydraulic excavator to the Kubota range.
Kubota’s largest model is an 8-ton class, but due to rising construction within Europe amid increased demand for housing, the manufacturer has faced calls for larger models.
The new Kubota 14 ton, U145 will allow the brand and ourselves to offer a larger, more powerful machine with all the benefits of compact and user-friendly design that the brand is renowned for. Coupled with Sumitomo’s maneuverability and fuel efficiency expertise, it will offer the power and reach needed whilst maintaining a reduced-tail swing design, perfect for sites with limited space.
Kubota wheeled excavators KW095

Hot on the heels of the partnership with Sumitomo, Kubota announced another with Liebherr, one of the largest construction manufacturers in the world and among the leaders in the wheeled excavator market.
Again, responding to the European market and the numerous construction sites building homes to satisfy population growth, Kubota has sought to expand it’s range of efficient and labour-saving construction machinery.
This partnership will see Kubota receive the supply of newly developed 9-ton and 11-ton wheeled excavators from Liebherr from 2026 - the first Liebherr products to feature Kubota engines.
At P.V. Dobson we’ve been working with Kubota since 1992 recently being awarded the coverted ‘Kubota UK Construction Dealer of the Year’ award for 2024. We stock a range of excavators and mini-excavators for our construction and plant hire customers.
“We are very excited as we believe that these new machines will be a fantastic additions to our range with great potential for us and our customers”, said Andrew Dobson.
