Massey Ferguson has unveiled the new MF 7S MARK 2, introducing six new tractor models ranging from 170 to 245hp.
Positioned between the existing MF 7S and the larger MF 8S Xtra, the new range brings significant developments in engine performance, transmission, operator comfort and precision farming technology.
As an established Massey Ferguson dealer for more than 50 years, PV Dobson is looking forward to introducing the new range to farmers and contractors across the region.
Here's a closer look at what the MF 7S MARK 2 has to offer.
Key features at a glance
- Six models ranging from 170 to 245hp, powered by a new 7.5-litre, six-cylinder AGCO Power engine
- Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission as standard across the range
- Redesigned cab with Massey Ferguson's Protect-U design
- New 12-inch Datatronic 6 touchscreen with improved controls and functionality
- Factory-fitted PTx FarmENGAGE farm management technology
- Full production and first deliveries expected from spring 2027
The return of the MARK name
The MARK designation has a long history with Massey Ferguson, appearing on well-known models including the MF 65 MARK I and MARK II and the MF 165 MARK III.
Massey Ferguson is now reintroducing the name to identify significant updates across its tractor ranges.
The new MF 7S MARK 2 will sit alongside the existing MF 7S, giving customers a wider choice of models and specifications to suit their requirements.
New engine performance and efficiency
At the heart of the MF 7S MARK 2 is a new 7.5-litre, six-cylinder AGCO Power CORE75 engine, featuring a single turbocharger and 25% fewer components than its predecessors.
The simplified design is intended to support long-term reliability and ease of maintenance, while meeting Stage V emissions standards without the need for exhaust gas recirculation.
The engine delivers maximum power across a wide engine speed range, with consistent torque between 800 and 1,500rpm across all six models. These power and torque characteristics mean there is no requirement for Engine Power Management (EPM).
Early field testing has also indicated improvements in fuel efficiency compared with the previous engine.
A larger 410-litre fuel tank, representing a 25% increase over the existing MF 7S, and a 56.5-litre AdBlue tank, an increase of 88%, help extend working time between refills, particularly during busy periods.

Improved manoeuvrability and stability
Despite its increased power and capability, the MF 7S MARK 2 has been designed to remain practical and manoeuvrable in the field.
A 2.95m wheelbase, compared with 2.88m on the existing MF 7S, provides a balance between stability and manoeuvrability, while helping to reduce the need for additional front ballast when operating heavy rear-mounted implements.
A redesigned front axle reduces the turning radius to just 5.3m, making the tractor easier to handle in confined yards, gateways and smaller fields.
With a gross vehicle weight of 14 tonnes, the range also offers increased capacity for transporting heavier implements, subject to the relevant road and equipment requirements.
Two new 2m diameter rear tyre sizes from the BKT AGRIMAX V-FLECTO range have been developed specifically for the MF 7S MARK 2.
The VF 650/70 R42 and VF 710/60 R44 rear tyre options are paired with VF 600/65 R30 front tyres, providing a larger contact area to improve traction and help minimise soil compaction during demanding field operations.
Dyna-VT transmission as standard
Every MF 7S MARK 2 comes equipped with Massey Ferguson's two-range Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission.
The transmission provides smooth, stepless speed control, helping operators maintain the right working speed for different applications.
The range offers a maximum specified speed of 57kph, alongside standard ParkLock and emergency braking features.
A four-speed PTO and 9.6-tonne rear linkage lift capacity are also standard across all six models.
Hydraulic performance is equally well catered for, with closed-centre, load-sensing pump options delivering 110, 150 or up to 190 litres per minute.
Efficient specification models can be equipped with up to four hydraulic valves, either fully mechanical or with a combination of mechanical and electro-hydraulic controls. The mixed configuration, exclusive to Massey Ferguson, includes decompression levers to make connecting implements easier.
Exclusive specification models offer up to five electronically controlled valves, each capable of delivering up to 120 litres per minute and featuring decompression levers as standard.
Separate transmission and hydraulic oil reservoirs provide 96 litres of available hydraulic oil capacity, supporting the demands of larger trailers and implements.

Greater operator comfort and control
Long working days demand a comfortable and practical operating environment, and the MF 7S MARK 2 introduces a redesigned cab based on the larger MF 8S.
Massey Ferguson's Protect-U design incorporates a 15cm gap between the engine and cab, helping to reduce noise, vibration and heat transfer to the operator.
The cab also features an inclined windscreen with improved wiper coverage, providing better visibility in challenging conditions.
One of the most significant upgrades is the new **12-inch Datatronic 6 touchscreen**, which is twice the size of the previous display fitted to tractors in this class.
The larger, higher-resolution screen features an updated interface, making it easier to access frequently used settings and monitor key tractor functions.
Operators can customise the display using three different tile sizes to suit their preferred layout, with controls, guidance information and operating data available in one place.

Additional cab features include:
- LED lighting as standard, with four optional upgrade packages offering up to 27 LED lights, including eight on the bonnet and 19 on the cab
- Support for up to four digital cameras, including front and rear cameras and two additional units for the tractor, trailers or implements
- A new side window wiper covering 72% of the glass
- Fourteen ventilation outlets and optional Category 4 cab filtration for spraying operations
- Improved in-cab storage, an optional refrigerator and factory-fitted phone holder
- Optional larger speakers and an additional speaker using the front windscreen to generate sound
- An optional Professional package featuring an external toolbox, inspection light, air supply outlet and air gun
Together, these improvements are designed to make the tractor easier and more comfortable to operate throughout the working day.
Smarter farming with PTx FarmENGAGE
The MF 7S MARK 2 will be the first Massey Ferguson tractor range supplied with PTx FarmENGAGE farm management software fitted at the factory.
Designed to work with machinery from different manufacturers, the system allows operators and farm managers to bring machinery and operational information together in one place.
Using built-in telemetry, data can be transferred wirelessly to support machinery monitoring, field management and day-to-day planning.
Tractor, machinery, field, cropping and task management information can also be shared using USB or cloud connectivity through the Connectivity Centre included in PTx FarmENGAGE.
For farms operating several machines or managing multiple sites, the technology offers opportunities to improve visibility, streamline record keeping and make more informed operational decisions.
