Wednesday 10th & Thursday 11th September
It's that time of the year again when the P.V.Dobson team relocates to the County Showground at Crooklands for one of the UK's favourite agricultural shows.
#Heritage - Tradition. Trust. Enduring Value.
Heritage is our theme for this year's show so we'll be featuring MF390 - a true Massey Ferguson Classic, "Patrick" – a true pioneer in UK construction history and offering expert repair advice from two P.V.Dobson legends.
Plus showcasing some newly released machinery and of course the opportunity to reminisce with our team over a brew.
We're looking forward to catching up with customers old and new.

Classic Massey Ferguson 390
We’re excited to share that this year, we’ll be showcasing a true classic: Massey Ferguson MF 390 - a rugged, reliable agricultural tractor, known for its durability and simplicity across generations of farming.
With it's dependable Perkins engine, robust hydraulics it was available in 2WD and 4WD options. Built to handle the ever-changing needs of real world farming, it still stands tall today.
Kindly loaned by Holgates Caravan Parks, a long-standing customer and valued friend of P.V. Dobson, the MF 390 stands as a symbol of everything we believe in: lasting quality, strong relationships, and shared history. Holgates, like us, is a proud family-run business - currently celebrating an incredible 70 years of family, friendship, and fantastic customers!

1983 Kubota KH-10D mini-excavator
Meet Patrick, who will also be joining us at the County Show. A true pioneer in UK construction history and one of the earliest Kubota mini excavators to hit British soil.
Originally purchased in 1983 by a company in Solihull, this Kubota KH-10D was affectionately named Patrick and remained in active service for an incredible 21 years - a testament to Kubota’s durability and engineering excellence.
The KH-10D wasn’t just another digger, it was the first Kubota mini excavator exported outside Japan and the first Kubota machine ever sold in the UK. Its arrival in 1979 marked the beginning of a revolution in compact construction equipment, introducing the UK market to the power, reliability, and flexibility of mini excavators.
Kubota (UK) Ltd was founded the same year, and just 41 machines were sold in that debut year. But from those humble beginnings, a legacy was born.
P.V. Dobson & Kubota Partnership started in 1992, just under a decade after “Patrick” was sold. Since then, we’ve proudly supported Kubota’s journey from industry newcomer to the No.1 mini excavator brand in the UK.
Our partnership with Kubota is built on the same principles that “Patrick” represents: reliability, innovation, and long-term value. Machines like the KH-10D laid the groundwork for Kubota’s reputation, and we’re proud to have played our part in carrying that legacy forward.
“Patrick” may be retired now, but his story is a reminder of how far Kubota, and P.V. Dobson, have come. From those first 41 machines to thousands of Kubota diggers across the country today, it all started with pioneering models like the KH-10D.
