Welcome to PV Dobson & Sons

You’ve come to the right place…

PV Dobson has been supplying industrial, plant and agricultural equipment to customers in South Lakeland and North Lancashire for more than half a century. Now one of the best-known businesses in the region, the company can proudly trace its roots back to the post-war years, when its founder first began trading industrial, plant and agricultural machinery.

Having gone from strength to strength in the intervening years, PV Dobson enjoys an impressive reputation for the range and quality of new and used machines and is renowned for its long-running association with the Massey Ferguson brand and sister company Fendt.

Playing to our strengths

Our primary area of expertise is in tractors and diggers, but we also supply an extensive stock of agricultural machinery, including Manitou tele-handlers, McHale, Vicon grassland equipment, Major Tankers and equipment, Teagle Machinery, Fleming Machinery, Bomford hedgecutters/mowers, Chillton loaders and Wragg Postknockers.

The supply of industrial plant equipment is a major business focus for us with Kubota mini excavators, Manitou tele-handlers, Mecalac/TEREX backhoes, Mecalac/TEREX dumpers/rollers and Gehl Skidsteers forming a significant part of our business.

Great local service

We operate from our Levens HQ, with a branch at Skipton to support our Yorkshire-based customers, and we’re well known for the quality and efficiency of our service, thanks to a workforce of experienced and highly-trained professionals. PV Dobson also holds an unrivalled stock of new and discontinued parts, to help keep our customers on the road – or field! If you’re on the hunt for a tricky-to-source item, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Our association with a relatively small number of franchises enables us to represent them with knowledge and confidence. This focused approach – combined with decades of expertise – means we can stock an excellent range of new and used machines and provide the standards of service our customers have come to expect.
